Ann,we catchMadelynn saying she is fat more and more....no matter how beautiful she is or how often we tell her size doesnt matter and not to worry about those kinds of things casue everyone is beautiful just the way god made them (I mean the girl is a bean pole) she is at that age.....10....she sits and plays with the tiny belly fat she has and it makes me want to barf. Don't blame the parents on this one. Socitey has made girls of all ages think we are supposed to look a certain way.....it is BS.
I dont think that Ann was blaming all parents with kids who think they are fat. She was just pointing out that how else could a 3 year old get that notion!!
I remember being ten and thinking I was fat and really was probably just digging for compliments and varification from my parents that I wasn't. There reaction was to tell me that I was beautiful and certainly was NOT fat! I think that really helped my self image in a time when I was just starting to doubt myself.
abby does have a cute belly. what a doll. can't wait to tickle it over christmas...
