Sharing New Toys

Abby wore a new pair of pj's tonight. Stu's Aunt Carole sent them and they had a matching pair for her baby doll.
She is kinda wringing the doll's neck though.
And Belle had to be in the picture as well.
A half smile.

"Take a picture of Baby Doll, Mommy".
We are sooo creative with our baby/animal naming skills!

Phone Pics and Random

I have a few random pics from my phone that I wanted to share.
And my random thoughts thrown in there as well!
There is nothing more sweet than a sleeping Abby. She is just so innocent. I can always tell how asleep she is by her hands. If she is out for real, then her hands are limp.
I love it. I think most of my cell phone pics are sleeping pics.
*********************
I am seriously running on empty. I didn't get more than 7 hours of sleep all nights of the "holiday". No naps or anything.
I have a huge birthday party to throw in 13 (!!!) days and have spent hours on it every night.
**********************
I am always so rushed in dropping Abby off at school in the morning. I was so excited to take a half day and attend her Christmas party at school a few weeks ago.
She was so excited to see me and pointed out all of her artwork around the room. I could seriously fill a room in my house with all of the stuff she brings home.
**********************
For some reason, I had it my head that Abby wasn't able to go to child care this year at church. (I thought it was under 2, but it was actually 2 and under) I had prepared her for "big church", so when Christmas Eve came, she was not about to go to the classroom. She was going to big church with Mommy and Daddy.
It was miserable. We sat on the back row. She dropped 3 pens, 2 pieces of paper and 1 cell phone off the back. The super nice people behind us picked them all up. And tore a hole in my scarf.
But the highlight was halfway through the sermon when Abby announced to the row that she needed to potty. I took her, she did her biz (4 days strong) and then ran back into the sermon and screamed "I went Pee-Pee Daddy!"
Redfaced, we made it through the rest of the sermon! We only got laughs from about 50 people. Reason for the season!
*******************

Seriously, how cute is she?

In her classroom, there was a Santa list on the wall. All the kids put what they wanted from Santa. For example, a new doll, action figure, etc.

What did Abby put?

New clothes.

Either that means she is a diva or we really need to get her some clothes!

*******************

I just noticed that she has on the same shirt on in all these pics. On different days. Maybe she does need new clothes!

*********************

Last random thought: I can't believe that my baby will be 3 in 10 days. And a birthday party (invited 60 people, what am I thinking?) in 13 days.

Time just flies. I love her too much!

Christmas Pics

We had a fantastic Christmas and one lucky little lady got waaaay too much stuff!
I am already working on my "donation" pile of toys she doesn't play with.
Here are (an overload of) pics!
The day before. Abby loves taking our dinner food order while we make dinner.
That magna doodle comes in handy for order taking.
Opening her life-size Minnie from Amanda.
Lining up the cookie cutters to make Santa cookies.
(She added her own hair accessory and necklace....)
Taking a swing break with Dad while the cookies baked.

This was Christmas Eve decorating cookies for Santa.
Abby looks excited.
But Santa will be happy with all those delicious cookies!

And this is what he brought in the night.
A Princess Minnie checking out her new outfit in the mirror, her favorite book (that needed to be replaced), and a Princess plate. He also brought her the Tinkerbell movie and lots of fun stocking stuffers.
She loved her Minnie! She has changed her outfits no less than 100 times.
Opening more presents.
This puppy hat was also a favorite.
Opening a tea set at Nina and Poppas.
But I will say that one of the top hits was the game Ants in the Pants. Her and Jessie played for about an hour.....
Then we played for another 2 hours tonight.
She is convinced that the blue ones don't work. Girl is too funny.
Also, check out that new hairstyle. She got a hair cut today and it was the first time that she sat in the chair by herself. She was awesome, but sadly I didn't even have my phone on me.
Wish us luck tomorrow......first day of school in panties!!!
She has gone 3 days in undies with no accidents!!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

I think it looks super yummy! And I was super excited to use my star cookie cutter!

Ann's Version:

I seriously am sitting on the couch posting this and laughing at my creation.
Especially after I was "reminded" that the eyes should be brown and the noses red (thanks, Tiffany!). I agree with Diane that it just means I am creative (ha!).

My favorite one is 3-eye Willie. (Look for the blue).

And let me just tell you that I made SO many that I got tired and just had to go with the traditional peanut butter cookies.

(Disclaimer: If you try to make these, find the tiny pretzels. Apparently I didn't and these ears are HUGE. I had to literally prop them up against each other.)

I just hope these taste good. I'm so tired of looking at them that I didn't even taste them.

I have some other great Pinterest creations, but those will be shared after Christmas once they are given as gifts :)

To Grandma's House We Go

This has been another busy, busy weekend.

I have pictures from Abby's school party, but they are on my phone so I'll post those later this week.

Saturday night, we had our friends' Christmas party. It was so great to catch up with everyone (and the first time in a loooong time that no one was pregnant!).

These are all my besties - I love them all!

*****************

We got up early this morning and drove to Chattanooga to visit my grandmother, aunt, uncle, and cousins.

Abby cheesing before lunch.

With her Christmas presents - Tigger (the Tiger) and Hippo (the Hippo).

We need to work on our naming skills.

The ride home - she was out before we got on the interstate.

Nice, peaceful ride home!

Busy as an Elf

Like Mother, Like Daughter.

I love wrapping Christmas presents and Abby has caught the bug as well. She helped me wrap presents this weekend.

She was awesome at the cutting. She is still a world class cutter!

Showing me where to put the tape.

Folding the edges (just like Mommy).

Putting the finishing touches on.

So proud of her wrapping job!

***************

Wrapping her presents tonight, I realized that my "shopping early" backfired on me. I had NO idea how much stuff I bought her as it was randomly stuffed in different places around the house. Well, at least her birthday is taken care of as well...I saved some of the presents for that.

***************

Christmas cards are still in "print" status. They are supposed to be here by Friday....I'm hoping to see them before then! They will be out as soon as they get here. We have already gotten 5.....ours are on the way!

****************

Just a little proof that she is the smartest kid I know.

She took these letters from the fridge while I was making muffins Sat morning. She had the choice of all 26 letters.

Yes, one of the B's is an "S", but she was was pretty durn close!

Facing Fears

As I mentioned in this post, Abby is terrified of the Christmas nutcrackers.

She will barely even walk through the house without Stu and I in the room.

So tonight I brought them down to show her how harmless they really are.

I eventually even got her to pose with them.

She named them "Cracker, Cracker and Cracker".

Santa

Santa came to visit Abby's school today.

Stu was able to take a picture when he picked her up. He said she wasn't thrilled, but did let her picture get taken.

At least her fingers aren't up her nose. (Although I am not sure about the wind tunnel she apparently is in).

I love this beautiful little girl!

Quick Update

My "new"computer hates me. Hates Me. I spent 50 minutes on the phone tonight trying to fix it and then just gave up. I guess I will try again tomorrow.

*****************

Potty training is going well. Obviously it is hard with only seeing Abby a few hours a night (and a quick potty in the morning), but she does really well on the weekends when I can work with her. She is doing pretty well at school though.

******************

To all of you that asked for my address....you are on top of your game. I finally ordered mine today and as soon as they get here, I will send them out!

*******************

I will leave you with a few pictures that didn't make the cut, but I still love them:

I sniff it (a Random Post)

Is it strange that when I plug and unplug my tree, that I like to get a big ole whiff of that tree?
I think not. It smells wonderful.
********************
Since it has been a year since we have had a professional photo shoot, I forget how awesome they are. I got a sneak peek at our photo shoot today via Lindsay's site. I might be a little obsessed with them. And I have only seen a few!
***********************
Abby washes her hands every night after dinner. Like a surgeon. Seriously, I think she has used an entire bottle of soap in a few weeks.
Tonight, she came back in the kitchen and told me there was a "scary guy" in the living room.
Way to freak me out.
I asked her to show me what she was talking about.
It was the nutcracker that was under the tree. I am obsessed with nutcrackers and get new ones every year.
So now, my precious nutcracker has to live at the top of the entertainment center. I can barely even reach him.
But at least Abby isn't scared to walk through the house!
****************
I am so happy that I have a new laptop, but it makes me so mad. Apparently I have a "bad" wireless card. I can only use this thing if I am about 10 feet from the router. And any movement (i.e. the coffee table getting in the way) causes it to not work.
I will be headed to the store on Saturday to DEMAND it be fixed.
*********************
New shows that I am obsessed with:
Secretly Pregnant - Women/Girls that hide their pregnancies from family members.
Sister Wives: I don't agree with it, but they are very intriguing.
One Born Every Minute: Another show about child birth. What got me hooked was the last one. DVR it....it was awesome!
*****************
It is too late for me to be up.
*******************
So I will leave you with these pics of spaghetti night.
