First Bath

We gave Abby her first bath in a tub last night. Probably a little late, I know, but I was waiting for Daddy to come home. He did excellent with her (I was very impressed) and she did very good herself. The only time she cried was when we were getting her OUT of the tub.

Just chillin' in the tub watching Daddy

Getting all washed up

All clean, wrapped in my towel

Hanging out in my swing, ready for bed

Abby's new toy

Stuart's Aunt Carole sent us a leap pad boppy. I put Abby on it today to give her some "neck exercises". As you can see, she has great neck strength!

Here is a picture of the sign that Abby and Ali made for their daddy. The footprints came out a little large, but Mommy is not an artist!

Stuart/Daddy is home!!!

After 7 long, long months, Stuart is finally home from Iraq! He got in about 8 PM Thursday night. I have posted some pictures and should have more once I get everyone else's cameras.
Abby and I waiting in the (warm) tent.

Melissa and I waiting for the buses to pull up.

Abby all snuggled up in the cold waiting on her daddy.

The buses pulling up.

Me finding Stuart. 3 deployments and I still bawled my eyes out!

Stuart seeing his daughter for the first time.

Stuart holding Abby for the first time.

Mommy is a little nervous and standing by just in case!

Which is a good thing, because Abby immediatly spit up on him!

Better get used to being spit up on!

Finally...a family!

Below are pictures of the signs Melissa and I hung on Freedom Way. It is pouring down rain here today, but when I drove by this morning they still looked ok. I have one more to hang on the house tomorrow. Can't believe it is almost time!

Every day, she looks more and more like her daddy! He will be home in a few days!!

Signs were hung for homecoming this weekend. Ill post pictures tomorrow, just in case he is reading this....dont want to spoil the surprise!

Holding her head up

Abby laid on the bed this morning while I got dressed. When she got fussy, I rolled her over and took some pictures of her lifting her head! I remember not 4 weeks ago that head just a rollin' around!

Smiling in my Sleep

I finally got a picture of her smiling. Granted she is sleeping and probably just passing gas, but I dont care. I still think it is adorable. She has to be smiling because her daddy is coming home NEXT week.

We went to the doctor today, her eye was all watery with gunk in it. It is just a blocked tear duct, which will clear up with some drops. But she weighs a whopping 9 pounds, 7 ounces. That is almost 2 pounds since she was born!! Her height is about 21 3/4 inches, so she is getting a tad taller as well!

Visit from Poppa and Mimi

My dad and grandmother came to visit Abby this week. I dont think I even held her the entire two days! She slept like a log in the arms of her Poppa (my dad) and Mimi (my grandmother).

She was also a month old yesterday, February 6th.

Update on Stuart: He is able to email some and expected to be home in less than two weeks. A more definite date should be set next week. He is so excited to meet his daughter!

My Angry Doll

Abby wore her first dress this weekend. She looked absolutely adorable, but when I tried to take pictures, not so happy! After each of the below pictures, she fell over on her face and I had to prop her back up!
