Royal Party

For months, we have been planning a Royal Party.

A few people have commented that they don't understand my fascination.

I think it is due to:

My general celebrity obsession.

William and I are the same age. I have grown up hearing about him.

I love weddings.

I love the idea of a commoner getting to marry a prince.

They are just a generally adorable couple.

No matter the reason, it was a memorable day. I just can't stop watching coverage of it. My next step is to read books about the Royal Family. Watching the wedding made me very curious about the whole Royal Family and all of the "rules and regulations".

Some of the treats from our party. Note the wedding cake.

The whole spread. Mimosas, muffins, fruit, cake and tea.

Teesha and Libby looking very regal in their hats.

Lindsay.

She is seriously watching. And that bling on her ring is overwhelming!

Autumn, Jennifer and Tina.

Autumn and I were the crazy ones at the party. I think we both teared up a little.

Autumn, Carrie (love the hat), and Lindsay.

(I totally thought that Lindsay had decorated for the Royal Party, turns out it was for her son's birthday)

And this little cutie joined us towards the end. I love that I snapped this picture with William and Catherine in the background.

Seriously, how stinking cute is he?

It was a fabulous day with friends. I am so blessed to have other gals willing to spend a day watching tv with me!

What I did today

What an exciting day!!!

(I can't find my camera cord, so I will post pictures as soon as I can)

But to give you an idea, this is how I spent my day:

Saw this beautiful princess get married.....

Swooned over this hottie.....

Watched Royalty.....

And gasped.....

No, I wasn't THERE! But I spent the day with 8 close friends having a fantastic time!

Beautiful Bride

One of my besties got married this past weekend. I was so overly excited for her!

We went to a Bed and Breakfast in Kingston that was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed.

This was my amazing room. Each room had a bird theme. This was the Canadian Geese room. I really wish that Stu could have come, but he had a test for school that night.

How pretty is she!

Michelle and her momma.

Her momma gave her a bible that she got in Jerusalem about 10 years ago. It was covered with Mother of Pearl and she had been saving it for Michelle's wedding day.

How precious is she?? Bella reminds me of a jumping bean. She is constantly in motion and you never know what is coming out of that gal's mouth. She did so good getting her hair done and was an absolute angel at the wedding.

Beautiful cake.

I was eyeing this cake and dying for a piece. For whatever the reason, I think I got the smallest slice of anyone at the reception. But I gobbled it up!

Prewedding pics.

The other kiddo at the wedding was Michelle's niece, Katie. This little girl just took to me. She wanted to sit with me at the reception and when her momma told her to get off my lap, she said "But momma, I am sitting with my girlfriend". I love kids so much!

Sweet little Bella.

She threw all of her rose petals in the first five steps. Then just randomly meandered down the aisle until she got to the front.

Here comes the bride!

Mr. and Mrs. Dixon!

Cutting the cake

I took these pics off facebook.

This is the sweetest picture that I have ever seen.

Lane gave Bella a ring as well. It was a heart with a diamond in the middle. She was so proud of it!

How beautiful are they??

**********

We took some pictures of me and my other bestie (who is now the sister in law of the bride) with the bride. Hopefully, I can see those soon.

It was a wonderful day!!!

Happy Easter!

Crazy, busy week/weekend. It all ended with a wonderful Easter day.

I worked on this little beauty last night.

A duck bank, duck for the bath, watering can, stickers, a book, and gummy candy.

Abby decided to wake up at 7:15 this morning.

She is a little perplexed about the new basket that appeared in her room overnight.

Yes, this is what her hair looks like every time she wakes up.

She was loving her "Yellow Duck". Even more so when I gave her some money to put in it.

She was pretty thrilled about all of it.

Especially the candy!!

Until we told her that she could only have 2 pieces.

I completely forgot my camera and took no pictures of lunch and hanging out at my parents house. Here is Abby's Easter dress.

Poor baby was so tired (and sunburnt from yesterday) that I only got these two shots.

**********

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Bouncey Boo

On Saturday, we went to Stu's parents for Easter dinner. Yum!

Abby loves their trampoline so much. (Don't worry there is one of those net things around it)

She calls it the Bouncey Boo.
Her favorite thing to do is play with the balls or jump into a sitting position.

She also got quite a bit of sun.

She also got a Tweety Bird from her Mee Maw and Aunt Pam.

But she was out like a light 10 minutes into the car. With the shades on.

***********

When we were playing later that night, Abby got very excited and jumped in the air and landed on her bottom. Just like she does on the Bouncey Boo. Except she did it on the floor. Stu and I laughed forever about it as Abby just sat there in shock. I guess she thought that she was still on the Bouncey Boo.

Folding Laundry

Abby loves helping me with her laundry. She always puts the washcloths away as well as hang her shirts and dresses in the closet.

Since she was folding washcloths and not looking, I managed to get a shot of her.

How adorable is that gown?

Every time I do laundry, I immediately put it back on her and then sulk until laundry is done again ;)

She did bust me taking a picture though.

(Please note how disorganized her books are. I am dying for a new bookshelf for her. Stu has promised to build me one as soon as we get a house. I already have plans drawn up for it.)

The last picture I got before "No More Camera Momma".

Mixed in with her laundry was a washcloth that normally stays in the kitchen. She grabbed it and took off for the kitchen. She came back a few minutes later and said, "I need help, Momma." I followed her in the kitchen and she pointed to the pantry. I opened it and she put the washcloth on top of our other kitchen towels. She is such a smart girl!

But this is the face that I seem to get more and more. Pure madness. This was after I told her that it was getting close to bedtime and we should go read a book.

We got her Spring pictures back from MDO tonight. I will share after we give the grandparents their copies. Too precious!

Easter Egg Hunting

Even though it was freezing today, we decided to go Easter Egg Hunting.

When we got there, it was even raining!

But this little trooper was ready to go!

The basket is as big as she is!
Doesn't she just look so grown up?

One thing that I wasn't a fan of was that all the kids went at the same time. I had to grab Abby and race across the field to a spot that the other kids hadn't found yet.

But she did manage to get about 12 eggs filled with chocolate and bubble gum.

She was a little devastated when I asked her to keep the candy and leave the eggs (for them to re-use next year). But since we already have a dozen eggs at our house, we really don't need more.

She was really good during the entire Easter Egg hunt. I was so proud. But ask to take a picture with Nana in front of the flowers....not going to happen!
