That Day 9/11

September 11, 2001 - I was in my bathroom getting ready for school. My roommate at the time, came running in my room and shouted "We are being attacked". Honestly, I thought she meant "us" as in my apartment. But she just screamed "Turn on the TV".

I did and 5 minutes later a second plane hit the twin towers. They don't show the footage anymore, but my mind's eye will never forget watching the towers collapse.

And the people walking around with ash covering them.

I remember driving to class and wondering how classes could still be going on. It was a sobering day.

Little did I know how much that day would truly impact me.

My hubs, Stu, joined the military mostly due to that day. My entire first 4 years of marriage were devoted to being a military wife that was married to a man that believed in protecting our freedom. I stood proudly behind him and still stand behind our military and all that they fight for.

Don't ever forget this day and the men and women that lost their life.

You must be so proud of your hubby. That's such a wonderful testimony! I truly respect you for standing by him during what must have been a very hard time!
