Oscars: Hit and Miss

The Oscars is my Super Bowl. I am not kidding. I normally lock myself in my room starting about 4 and watch the Countdown to the Red Carpet, Live From the Red Carpet, and Fashion Police. Oh yea, and sometimes the actual Awards.
But we are taking Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, so we don't get home until 9. I was devastated that I forgot to DVR it. That meant I actually had to watch the Awards. Let me just say.....BORING. And LONG. I didn't even make it close to the end. But I did check out all of the dresses that I could. My thoughts....

HITS:
My absolute favorite.
I really think that SJP does no harm and I would kill for those rocking arms.

This one looked much better "in person". But I liked that she rocked the red lips.

This is what I am talking about. Red Carpet Royalty.

I am loving this blue on Mo'Nique. It fits her perfectly and she was so sweet giving her acceptance speech. Her and her hubby are adorable and so in love. She glows!

I am about to be struck by lightning for praising Miley Cyrus, but I think she totally pulled off a great, sophisticated look. Although, I did see a few interview pictures and she needs to stand up straight! You are tall, work it!

This is one of my favorite dresses as well, but this could be that I am obsessed with wedding dresses. This would be a great wedding dress....

Not a good picture, but this dress was amazing.

I am normally not a fan of flesh tones, but Demi looks great! And it doesn't hurt that she has hot arm candy.

Cameron looked awesome as well. Maybe I am weird, but I do think gold dresses should be worn to the Globes, but I think she did great! I love the sparkles.

Again with the flesh tones, but maybe I'm evolving. I love this. Hated her in the Twilight moves, anxious to see Up in the Air this week. To see if her acting is better.

This picture doesn't show it, but this dress is a light green. I liked it. Although she needed to coordinate with Miley when they both walked on stage and almost knocked each other out.

MISSES:

Like Pink at the Emmy's, I hate the fading look. I like Zoe, but not the dress. Bad choice.

Oh Gawd. This looks like crepe paper.

Oh Rachel! You are so pretty, this looks like curtains from a retirement home.

What is she hiding? It is the Oscars, Spanx it and move on.

Pretty sure this one was bought in Panama City at the souvenir shop.

Definitely a flesh tone dress gone wrong.

Saved the best for last. Maybe she has a pole dancing gig later. Way to draw attention to the girls (or lack of).

Well until next year, those are my awards wrap ups.

I am so glad you mentioned SJP's dress. We were talking about our favorite dress at work and when I said hers was my fave, everyone looked at me like I was crazy!

I noticed the posture thing with Miley and I think she is going to catch a lot of crap for wearing that dress.

But I have to say that I liked Maggie's dress! I just thought it looked really good on her and was unique! The rest of the misses...totally agreed.

LOVED SJP's dress. She totally looked like Carrie Bradshaw in that one! Miley couldn't stand up - if she did her boobs would pop out or she'd split it down the middle.

I don't remember Anna Kendrick in Twilight, but I do remember seeing Kristen Stewart on the red carpet. She looked miserable. Zero effort. Like she'd rather be anywhere but there.

She IS in Twilight. I've actually not gotten around yet to New Moon, so I couldn't be certain on that one. She looks so different in a lovely gown than in Ol' Forks H.S. Ha! I can just see you and Abby years from now sitting on the couch together giving your dress critiques. AWWWWWWWWWWW...........

I might be the only person in the world that doesn't like SJP's dress. The top is so odd to me! Oh well right, I love everything else about her!
