Currently Abby's "high chair" is the Bumbo seat. We put it on the top of the table, attach her tray and away she goes. We were warned that she might grow out of it, but so far those chicken legs still fit.
We are just not sure what the next step is. Should we put the Bumbo in the chair with the tray?
Or put the Bumbo in the chair and let her use the table? It would still be a little high, but I think that she could manage.
We looked at a few booster seats, but really hate to buy it in case she grows right out of that. 
Any advice??
I am totally guilty of putting Abby in this race car outfit. At least it is pink though. She was squirming, and this was the first thing that I grabbed. Now that I look at this picture, you can not even tell it is race car!

Do you have a high chair? We made the transition from just using the bumbo to the high chair and it went really well for Colt, but if you dont have one, there is no need to go out and buy one. I would just see if any of your ideas work
we never had a Bumbo chair. He always just sat in his high chair and now sits on the table in an actual chair. have you thought about just getting a chair that sits in the seat but also can be used for travel? they fold down. they are not expensive at all. i looked at them for landon $30 maybe and has several uses.
I'd just try your ideas. I'm sure one of them will work well for ya. And I'm SO GLAD you are into GaGa now! Her music is definitely catchy!
