Welcome, 2011!

I have really been slacking on the blogging lately! Honestly, Abby is just wearing me down. Where did she get all of this energy from? Is this just the beginning, lol?

Oh and this little gem has kept me busy...

My Nook!! I am still finishing a few books from the library, but I already have a few books and magazines lined up to read. Feel free to leave me with any suggestions of things to read.

Isn't she so precious with her hair in a ponytail?

********

As I noted before, I wanted to take pictures of all of Abby's presents. Hopefully, my 5 readers don't take this as bragging about all that she got. I just want it for my own memories.

*and if you are coming to the bday party....feel free to make a charitable donation. I will NOT be offended.

I can't remember the name of this thing. I want to say Etch-a-Sketch but I know that is wrong. Abby loves it though and insists that I write her name over and over on it. Also another laptop.

Forgot to turn this around. It is a lego set and a Crayola construction town.

I do have to say this is one of my favorite presents. My Mimi took an antique stool and had it covered and Abby's name put on it. It opens for storage as well.

Abby's three dolls and my little pony. My Little Pony unfortunately bit the dust tonight though. She had a run in with a toy truck and we were unable to untangle it from her hair.

Puzzles and dress up shoes.

Books and coloring books. Along with a fairy wand.

More puzzles, coloring books, and a book with a Winnie-the-Pooh DVD.

Another stroller and a baby swing.

Abby already had a magnetic farmhouse, but Jess got her an alphabet one as well. Needless to say, we hear the singing alphabet ALL day long.
*********
I know that I am going to catch grief (mainly from Nana) for posting this picture, but I just had to share. We got the potty out. Abby is loving to sit on it, of course not using it yet.

But....she insists on being completely naked for any and all sitting on the potty. And she really does sit there with her hands on her knees while I explain to her what she needs to do.

I am trying to put together my New Year's Resolutions, but I really do hate making them. So, may or may not make some. I do have goals for this year though.
  • Lose the weight.
  • Buy a house.
  • Work on adding to our family ;)
  • Take more pictures.
  • Send more birthday/holiday cards.

**********

This is my 500th post! Insane, right??!!

500..that is awesome! Colt has the magnetic alphabet. He loves that thing!

I just finished a good book called Perilous Journey. It was historical fiction about the founding of Nashville written from the perspective of a 23 year old widow with three children. It was really good and so interesting since it was based on the founding at Fort Nashborough.

Hope you had a great New Years!
