6 months old!

Abby is 6 months old! I know everyone says it, but time really does fly! Every day she amazes me with new tricks and expressions. Here are some fun facts about her:

• She is the happiest baby I have ever known. No matter the situation, she is always smiling. Very rarely does she “meltdown”, although if she does, it is ugly!
• She can sit up on her own for abut 10 seconds at a time. The more we practice, the longer she can do it. As long as she is occupied by something in her lap or in front of her, she is good. But the second she gets distracted, she falls.
  

• Although not crawling yet, she scoots backward. She can also spin herself around in a complete circle.
• A few times I have caught her on all fours, but then (as with the sitting up) she gets distracted and falls.

• When I hold her and am sitting down, she likes to crawl all over me. Hair pulling is a favorite. I am not a big jewelry wearer, but she loves to pull on any jewelry that she sees.
• Her favorite food so far is carrots. Her least favorite is peaches
• She eats oatmeal, rice, or fruit for breakfast, green beans and pears for lunch, and green beans and carrots for dinner.
• When eating her bottle, it is important that she hits the bottle as hard as she can. It takes strength to feed her without the bottle flying across the room.
• If she wakes up before I do, she plays in her crib and tears down the bumper until I come and rescue her.
• Still no teeth!
• Although it looks like she has no hair, she does have plenty of peach fuzz.
• She is ticklish on her thighs and under her chin.
• Her favorite part of the day is bath time. Any sort of water activity, she can’t get enough of.
• Her bedtime is 8 PM, she normally wakes up around midnight but we just give her a pacy and she goes right back to sleep. She is usually awake for the day between 5 and 7.
