Last weekend started out with a cough from Abby. She had her 4 Year Well-Visit on Monday, so I figured we would find out then.
Stats:
33 Pounds
39 3/4 inches tall
100.1 temp
And a diagnosis of an awesome kid, but with viral croup. Wonderful!
She had a great outlook, but I knew she wasn't feeling great.
She also had what I thought was pink-eye, but they said it was just a side effect of the croup and could possibly jump from eye to eye. And it did.
The Doc gave her a steroid to take....and it was brutal. Brutally gross (trust me, I smelled it). She bawled her eyes out, begging not to take it.
She stayed out of school on Tuesday and Wednesday night threw a fit at church until they had to come and get me to put her in my classroom.
The rest of the week was pretty uneventful until I picked her up at school on Friday.
My sweet, precious baby had a black eye!
Apparently there was an incident early in the day that involved a few kiddos all running into each other.
Look, shit happens. Kids are kids (does anyone remember the great tooth break of '10?).
This morning. I am dreading what it looks like tomorrow.
*I am been so reluctant to take her anywhere today as I don't want people to think I hit my little gal!
**Again...shit happens. But, Momma Bear will be taking care of this with a phone call on Tuesday.
