Abby's Personality

Abby has the most amazing personality. I know, I know, I am her mother - I have to say that. But it is so true:
"What, I am not allowed to eat an entire sleeve of Saltines?"

"Surely you jest."

"Get that camera away from me!"

"Oh wait! Give me that camera!"

"Whatever! I still have my Saltines."

***********
Bathtime is so much fun with Abby.

She loves to "Cheese" for the camera.

Abby loves to lay in her signature pose. This one will be saved for the future boyfriend.

Do you see anything missing in this picture? Uh...water? Abby refuses to get out of the tub, so every night I have to just let the water out. Then drag her kicking and screaming out of the tub trying to explain that there is no water in the tub.
Do you also notice she has a washcloth in her hands? About a week ago, she decided that SHE was going to wash herself. Since she doesn't exactly do the best job, I have to give her her own washcloth and use a different one that is "Momma's".
********
After the bath tonight, Abby turned into my snuggle bunny.

We sat on the couch watching re-runs of Teen Mom (she better not get any ideas).
Notice the Saltine that Abby is holding. I swear the gal is obsessed. She would not eat it, not give it to Ali, not let Momma take a bite. She held on to it until bedtime.

Look how sweet she is!

I am loving that on rare occasions she loves to just sit and hang with me. I know it is rare, so I treat it as the gift that it is.

Abby has also started screaming "Momma?" if I walk out of the room. She will NOT stop until I say "Abby!". It is adorable.

The blog design has changed. Katie (one of my 5 dedicated followers) was having trouble viewing it. So, of course, I had to change it. I really don't have the energy to fix it, so right now it is plain. I feel like I have been slacking on the blogging. I need new blogs to follow! Any suggestions?

Fun on the Farm

Today was a hot, hot day. Nevertheless, we headed to Waldon Farms for a day of farming.

Abby was too chicken to do the corn maze on her own. Momma had to go with her and trust me, I was sweating.

But at least she followed me instead of having to drag her through the maze.

There were pigs that could be petted. I swear, they looked just like our little Ali. Abby was little hesitant about getting close to them though.

Abby looking at the chickens.

This was by far my favorite part. You could buy feed for the goats and they would eat out of your hand.

I never in a million years thought that Abby would have done this.

But she LOVED it. I am even considering taking her back just to feed the goats.

Abby also got to sit on a tractor. She was pretty nervous and had to make sure Daddy was right beside her.

As much as I tried, I could not get Abby to sit beside the pumpkins for a pumpkin patch picture.

She still looks pretty darn cute in the patch though.

Wondering "Why are you taking a million pictures?"

She got to pick out her own pumpkin which we brought home and now sits on the kitchen counter.

Abby also got to ride her own John Deere tractor.

Then we went on a hay ride.

Abby was so hot. Poor thing. She even poured the water down her entire shirt to cool off.

We met Amber, Matt and Caden there as well. Abby was not feeling the picture.

Family shot. Too bad the sun shining off Stu's head was overwhelming.

I think she was starting to get tired on the way home.....

Out like a light!
**********
We also met Tiffany, Jason and Landon there, but hardly got to see them. It was so crowded. Hopefully soon, Landon and Abby can have a second date!
***********

On Saturday, we went to the Avenues to the Family Fun Fest. Hot again!
Abby (who did not want Bella's arm around her) and sweet Ms. Bella.
*********
Tonight, I was laying on the floor in Abby's room while she played with her toys. She found one of her brushes and proceeded to brush my hair for about 5 minutes. Granted, she made it a rats nest, but still. It was so sweet.
I also got a muscle cramp in my back while lying there. I yelled for Stu to come rub that spot on my back. He did and it felt much better. About 2 minutes later, I felt these five little angel fingers rub the same spot. As much as this little gal can drive me nuts, she is just so full of sugar. She wanted to rub her Momma's back to make her feel better.

Winner, Winner!!!

I occasionally enter giveaways if I see things that I like. Since I hardly ever spend money on "fancy" stuff for myself, I am OVERLY excited to have won a piece of jewelry!
I won a bangle bracelet on this site.
I have actually been eyeing her Etsy site for awhile, so this is just great. I will share pictures when I get it.

I have totally been slacking on the blogging. But we are headed to a fall festival tomorrow and a pumpkin patch/hayride on Sunday, so I should have tons of pictures to share soon!
Have a great (sunny and 80) weekend.

A Sweet Night

Tonight, on our walk, Abby wanted out of her stroller at the dog park. I usually just put Ali in the dog park and Abby and I wait outside. Tonight, I was sitting on the curb next to the stroller.
Abby wanted out soooo bad. I knew it could not end well with her wanting to run all over the place. But I had a looong day at work, so I gave in.
Sweet, little Abby crawled right up in my lap. And held my hand. With her other hand, she pointed at the stars..."Stars Momma?" Yes, my sweet pea, those are stars.
It was one of those nights that I won't forget. My baby bundled up in my lap enjoying the cool night. I sang "When you wish upon a star" in her ear.
What a great night.

Birthday Cards

I have pretty much nothing else to write about, so I thought I would share my fantastic birthday cards!
From my Momma and Daddy (Nan-ee and Poppa)

From my Grandma

From my Mimi

From some super sweet girls that I worked with in VA

From my friend, Teesha

The inside says "Oh girl, no need to get your Tutu in a tizzy, it's just a birthday".

From Julie, Mike and Audrey in NC

The inside of this card was by far my favorite. A picture of my sweet god-baby! (Not officially, but I will name myself her god-mother).

*********
I am just so blessed to have spent a wonderful birthday with my family and friends AND get cards from friends in other states. I love that we have lived all over (well, two states) and met so many wonderful people that I am still in touch with. And I am so lucky to still have the wonderful friends from college/high school/elementary school.
Feeling the love tonight!

Birthday Weekend

I turned the big Two-Nine this past Friday.
It all started on Tuesday night with these:

Chocolate Mint Cupcakes from Julia's Bakery. Double Yum.

Friday night, we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. (My arm looks crazy because I tried to put my arm around Abby but had to draw it back as she was not having it.)

Then we went to Target where Stu discovered the candy aisle.
Saturday, my friends and I all went to Arrington Vineyards and hung out. The weather was beautiful and we had a blast.
Michelle and I.

Jess and I. I think I might have had a bit too much wine at this point.

Randy and Amanda.

Lane, Amanda, and Randy.

Amanda and my cuz, Emily.

Stu and I.

Jess and Amanda.

Emily and I (with Stu making faces in the background!)

After the Vineyards, we went to Nobody's in Murfreesboro.
Stu and his BFF, Jarrod.
*******
I didn't take many pictures, but we had a blast!

Now, on to some Abby pictures.

Abby's new favorite place to be is under our bathroom sink. When I can't find her, she is always here. In this picture, she is reading the MTSU catalog. Getting an early start!

Bundled up for one of our nightly walks.

Reading a magazine.

Making a fashion statement with leggings, socks, and Crocs.
