Random Pictures

After getting complaints from Nona (Hi, Mom!) that I was not putting updated pictures on the blog, I found a few that I had taken but not put on the website. Enjoy!

She is starting to really be able to grab things and hold on to them.

Serious face!

This made me laugh. She got so excited that her pacifier fell out of her mouth, but it didnt go very far!

Still so happy to take a bath! I have never seen a baby that loves a bath as much as she does!

Abby will be 4 months old next week. Her doctor appointment for more shots is Monday :(. Not looking forward to that especially since Stuart may not be able to go with me. We have been trying to incorporate cereal into her bottle at night, but it is not going very well, she does not like it very much. I am going to talk to the doctor on Monday about trying a different type of cereal (like oatmeal) to see if that helps. She has yet to sleep through the night, the longest stretch has been about 6 hours which is good, but longer would be better!!
Ill be in TN for Memorial Day weekend, looking forward to seeing the grandparents!

Stuart's New Truck

Stuart (and I) bought a new truck this past weekend. It is a 2008 Chevy Silverado Z71, 4 wheel drive crew cab. LTZ model, tan leather, absolutely beautiful!! And the car seat is installed!

Guess who is teaching Abby how to drive!

Easter Sunday

Abby's first Easter was great! Stuart and I went to a local church and Abby went to the nursery, where they said she was a joy!

Here she is in her Easter dress with the stuffed bunnies her daddy bought her.
Neither of these two look very happy, it was very bright outside!

More presents that she got (but Mommy is eating the chocolate!)

A better view of her Easter dress!

A Day at the Aquarium

Stuart and I took Abby to the North Carolina Aquarium today. She slept the whole way there and back, but was very alert as we went through the exhibits and did the walk outside.

She wasnt too fond of looking at the snakes!

This adorable fish actually stayed and looked at Abby for about 10 minutes!

Aaahh...what giant teeth!

What a large frog!

Mommy and Abby outside the front of the Aquarium.

Wonderful Afternoon

While tornados tore through Murfreesboro (luckily everyone is ok, our thoughts and prayers are with those who had damage), Abby and I sat on the back porch and "talked" about life!

She is just so smart and actually laughs out loud now, it is hilarious!

Here are our feet! Such tiny toes!

Meanwhile, Ali did some gardening. Apparently she is working to dig a hole that she can fit in.

Best friends

In the beginning, we would not allow Ali anywhere near Abby. Just in case. But as they are getting used to each other, Ali is getting braver and we are allowing it. Now, they enjoy playing beside each other.

Ali has a very ugly look on her face and Abby is not looking too happy either. But they are close to each other!
Abby is much happier when her daddy is the one beside her playing!

Baby Einstein

I put Abby's Baby Einstein toy together this weekend. I wasnt sure if she was old enough to enjoy it, but thought I would at least give it a try since she can hold her head up. She mainly just leans forward in it, but is starting to get into the toys that are around it.

She can barely touch the bottom (even though it is on the lowest setting).
She really likes looking in the mirror.
She reached a "milestone" today as well. She actually rolled over on her own! I think it shocked her when she realized what she did. We also think she MIGHT be teething. I know 3 months is young, but something appears to be coming through the gum and there is definite drooling going on. Not sure, so we will keep an eye on that. Now, if we could just grow some hair (thanks, dad!).
Mommy went back to work this week. I miss her, but it is nice to get a "break". Plus I just appreciate our time together so much more. Her first day in day care was today (although only 4 hours). She made it through and I am just waiting to get her on full time.
